Jeffrey Menter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from Carthage College and brings 30 years of diversified experience in the environmental consulting industry. Jeff provides departmental stewardship, technical support, subcontractor oversight and contract management for several aspects of environmental, health and safety, and due diligence services. Targeted services include asbestos and lead management/abatement, indoor air quality assessments, microbial investigations/remediation, environmental site assessments, underground storage tank management, subsurface investigations, and contract management.
Jeff advises commercial and industrial clients, financial and equity investors, property developers, school districts and other governmental agencies on understanding regulatory obligations and evaluating potential environmental risk related to building renovations/demolitions, property redevelopment, real estate transactions and mergers/acquisitions.
Prior to joining True North, Jeff was a director of industrial hygiene and asbestos services for a Fortune 500 multi-discipline environmental consulting and engineering firm in Chicago. Jeff is an Environmental Assessment Association (EAA) Certified Environmental Consultant (CEC), Certified Environmental Specialist (CES) and Certified Air Quality Specialist (CAQS). He also maintains OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Site Supervisor and Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor accreditations and professional asbestos licenses in California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio and Wisconsin.
